I am Amanda, owner of Virtual Delegation, that’s me over there to the right of your screen, I must admit I am not a massive fan of having my picture taken, I bet you can tell?!
I started Virtual Delegation back in April 2012, from my home office in beautiful Devon, as my son started nursery and I had taken a career break to raise him and I wanted to get back into the admin world which I have been working in since 1998!! But I also wanted a great work/home life balance.
I have a massive love of admin and organising, I especially love a to-do list!
Whilst researching admin jobs where I could work from home, I came across the Society of Virtual Assistants website and forum. I joined up as a Community Member and learned loads about becoming a Virtual Assistant and decided that this was the role for me.
After 6 years of being a Virtual Assistant, offering general admin services to clients, I decided to niche my services and concentrate on customer service. Why you might ask when I have a love of admin? Well, as well as being a Virtual Assistant, which I love, I had also been working as a Call Handler for a UK based call handling company, eventually managing the company, before it was sold.
During this time I also trained and managed a team of Call Handlers. This gave me a massive insight into the customer service world and I decided to merge my love of admin and my new love of customer service and become a Customer Service Virtual Assistant, see what I did there!
My other passion apart from admin, to-do lists and customer service, is looking after my client’s customers, so they can get on with running their businesses.
