Call Handling – How does it work?
Have you heard of call handling?
Sometimes it’s also known as call answering or even virtual reception.

Let me explain a little more…
Call handling, call answering or virtual reception, all involve calls being answered on your behalf, by a trained call handler. They don’t have to be based at your location, they can be based remotely and still answer your calls.
You get to keep your current business number and the calls are diverted to the call handler for them to handle on your behalf. The caller is unaware that their call is being diverted.
The call handler answers your calls in your business name, they can answer the call, by taking a message and then passing this on to you via email or SMS message, this is known as call answering.
Or they can handle the call on your behalf, so they might take a booking, re-schedule or even cancel an appointment the caller night have with you. They can also answer any questions or queries the caller might have regarding a product or service that you offer, this is known as call handling or virtual reception.
You can divert your calls to the call handler, whenever you like during the day, this might be handy if you have to attend a meeting, have an appointment, attend that commitment at your child’s school. Or you might offer a service where you spend your days in client appointments and don’t want to miss that all important call which could give you more business or clients!
The call handler gets to learn how your business works and the types of callers that might call and after time they can answer the basic questions callers might be calling with, saving you time in your busy day. They become a regular voice that your clients will hear and get to know becoming an integral part of your business.
